John and Lucia took care of my brother for 6 years. I can't say enough about the exceptional care that was provided for Mark, which certainly gave our family peace of mind. I found them to be caring, thoughtful, and competent, and their medical backgrounds gave them the knowledge and experience to care for special needs folks like my brother. They went above and beyond to make his last years as comfortable and fulfilling as possible, something for which I will be forever grateful to them and all of their exceptional staff. I would highly recommend their beautiful home to anyone that is looking for a facility to entrust their loved-one's care.

My daughter began living at Oak Valley Home four and a half years ago. She had been left quadriplegic after a one-car accident when she was 16 years old. After she emerged from a two-year coma, she lived in our home for 30 years. As the years passed and we grew older, it became obvious that she would need younger, more resourceful "parents". Numerous facilities in our area failed to meet our hopes and expectations for our daughter. Miraculously, we met John and Lucia and our burdens were lifted. They welcomed Marta into their lives and she made the transition from Mom and Dad to her new foster parents seamlessly. As an extra bonus they also had "Lola", a protective German Shepherd, and the pet she had wanted for most of her life. Although she couldn't walk or speak, Marta constantly thrived in John and Lucia's loving, compassionate care. They loved Marta as they might love their own child. My husband died three years ago and Marta died less than two weeks ago, and the pain of those losses was lessened tremendously by having John and Lucia in our lives.

Oak Valley Home is a lovely and comfortable home with great and attentive care. John and Lucia Dumitrascu are very skilled and thoughtful caregivers who care deeply for the health and well being of their clients. The setting is beautiful and the house and rooms extremely clean. Meals are homemade and delicious. Their attention to detail and to the comfort of their clients is exceptional. My family member lived at Oak Valley for 2 years and was well cared for and formed a close friendship with John and Lucia. We are extremely grateful for their care and all the staff at Oak Valley.

After a series of less than acceptable placements, we were lucky to find a spot at Oak Valley. Mom responded almost immediately to the exceptional care, excellent nutrition, and beautiful setting. Lucia and John have created a loving, caring, healthy, comfortable and absolutely beautiful home for the residents. Perhaps the best testament to the quality of this place is expressed by Oak Valley’s nursing assistants and care staff. All of them are so grateful to be part of this team, to be given the time and space to develop relationships and truly care for the residents.

Oak Valley Home in our family's experience is a wonderful place. Our Mom is elderly with profound dementia and has all the high-care needs that go along with that condition. Before we discovered Oak Valley Home, she struggled through several years at one well-known care facility in town after another, suffering frequent infections, dire physical complications, and emergency room visits due to neglect and unskilled care. When Mom entered Oak Valley Home three years ago, all those problems stopped immediately and completely she's been her happy and smiling self ever since. They see and appreciate Mom herself at Oak Valley first and foremost, not primarily her dementia. So they treat her like a family member with utmost dignity, sensitivity and skill. Oak Valley truly gave our family our beautiful Mom back to us again. John and Lucia bring decades of professional experience and personal passion for service to the job every day. Likewise every staff member brings the highest level of skilled and loving care to all the residents at Oak Valley Home. For these reasons and more, we couldn't really put our gratitude sufficiently in words for John, Lucia and the Oak Valley staff.
